(Adult) Birdie

Hi! My Name Is (Adult) Birdie

We're happy to tell you that (Adult) Birdie has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

She was extremely underweight when she came to WCAL as an unclaimed stray, and her fosters have been helping her fatten up! After shaving off all her matted fur, she was just 7 pounds of skin and bone. Thanks to four meals a day of high-calorie dog food, Birdie is slowly filling out; she is also growing spunkier! Birdie is nice on a leash (she can't be trusted not to wander away while off leash) and she is working on potty training in her foster home. She shares a foster home with cats and nice dogs and they are learning how to interact with one another (Birdie does occasionally try to chase a cat). The vet guestimated her age at about 5 years old and her fosters report that she acts very much like a puppy now that she is feeling better and is less dehydrated. She is scheduled to be spayed and have a little dental work done once she has gained some weight.  Don't worry, Birdie, you'll be feeling 100% in no time.
