This adorable little lady came to WCAL from the Napa Shelter. She got a FULL makeover and is now clean, cute and healthy. Hailey has since had a dental (no teeth left!), mammary tumor removal, spay and she was treated for an ear infection then she went to a groomer! Her foster mom is getting lots of tail wags from Hailey who likes to follow her around and is especially happy to be held. Hailey learned quickly about pottying in the back yard and now she goes to the back door reliably. After her time in the shelter, she's really uncomfortable being crated and we can't blame her, but that's no problem for her foster. Her ideal home would be a place where she can enjoy the company of a nice human and go where they go. Hailey travels well in the car and she meets strangers nicely. She is happy to walk on leash and gets along with other dogs her size, even keeping up with bigger dogs on walks. Her foster home has other small dogs to keep her company when the humans have to go to work. Now that her mouth doesn't bother her, she RUNS excitedly to the kitchen at meal times, barking if her humans are too slow. Even without teeth, she has no problems eating canned food. Hailey uses her voice and will give a bark to ask you to pick her up and put her in your lap (she isn't a fan of those tiny dog stairs or maybe she just likes the extra attention)! Hailey is looking for a lap that she can keep warm and a human who can be her constant companion for this next chapter in her life.
