Little Miss Butternut is affectionate and sweet. She’s also quite the explorer! You should see her summit the scratching post (where she waits patiently for someone to help her down). Her soft Butternut colored coat is what provided the inspiration for her whole litter to be named for winter squashes. She's healthy, has excellent litter box skills, and a healthy appetite. Butternut gets along with the friendly resident cat and is unintimidated by the big dog in her Calistoga foster home.
This kitten is one of those extra special babies - the ones our volunteers have bottle-raised. Kittens raised by humans are extra comfortable around people, extremely affectionate, and love attention. Since they didn't have the opportunity to be raised by a mama cat, they have zero street smarts and we are looking for a family who is committed to keeping them indoors only for life.
