Peggy Sue just turned 9 weeks old and she has been spayed and had her hind leg amputated. This little lady arrived with two injured hind legs at just 5 days old and now that's all behind her and she's ready to live a good, long, healthy life as an indoor kitty cat. Hand raised from the time she was less than one week old, Peggy Sue is full of spunk and butterfly kisses. She is a petite torbie who likes to burrow under the covers and wants to try and do everything her able-bodied buddy does. Her "sister" Elektra is an athletic house panther in training with a purr that could melt any heart and a huge appetite and they've been keeping one another company in their foster home. When we save extra special babies like these two girls, one of the most rewarding events is the moment when they find that amazing forever family. We are ready to begin introducing them to potential adopters and they'll be ready to go home just as soon as they are healed from surgery
This kitten is one of those extra special babies - the ones our volunteers have bottle-raised. Kittens raised by humans are extra comfortable around people and love attention. Since they didn't have the opportunity to be raised by a mama cat, they have zero street smarts and we are looking for a family who is committed to keeping them indoors only for life.
