Sweet, one-eyed Petunia will be ready to go home on 5/26 and we're scheduling meet & greets for her now! Petunia came to us with badly infected eyes (a sad side effect of being born outdoors). We were told she would likely lose both eyes, but we were determined to try and save her vision if at all possible. It required meds on a rigorous schedule and was upsetting when her left eye started to swell and suddenly needed to be surgically removed. Thanks to her foster family's commitment, her right eye has healed marvelously and it is now as perfect as she is! Petunia's permanent wink means that she will always have to be an indoor-only cat. She is happy and healthy and has more energy than three kids combined! Petunia runs around the house, pouncing on human feet or the dog's tail and doing sneak attacks from behind curtains. She will be a fun addition to a young, active home. We are looking for a family who is committed to keeping her indoors only for life so that her limited vision won't put her at risk (cars, wildlife, stray dogs, and many other things make it too risky for this baby to go outside).
