(Pepper’s Babies) Rowena

Rowena was born with a larger than life personality and an even larger heart. She is the smallest of her litter and on spay day we learned that her stunted growth is due to an enlarged heart. This pint size kitten is fierce, smart and adventurous. Her small size and rare anatomy has not impacted her brave and loving spirit. At the moment, she can hold her own in the wrestling matches and loves to run by and give you a little baby whap on the leg as she chases her siblings around. Rowena is also a supreme toe licker and snuggle bug. You can imagine how surprised we were to learn that she may not get to live as long as we'd like. Rowena has made friends with the resident dog and cats in her foster home and is also her mama's clear favorite. Without additional testing, it's hard to make any accurate predictions for Rowena's future. Usually when a kitten is born with an enlarged heart, they struggle to grow and there will be a point when her heart cannot keep up with her sweet body. This could be 3 months from now or 3 years from now. The right family for Rowena will make every single day worthwhile, spoil her rotten and appreciate her for the gift that she is.
