Meryl Streep is superstar status to the extreme. This extra special blind kitten has persevered and beaten the odds. Her litter was saved through a lot of hard work and round the clock TLC including syringe feeding, antibiotics, nebulizer treatments, eye ointment and more! Unfortunately, she lost both her eyes to the infection, but it's not slowing her down. Meryl plays with a ball track toy, chases crinkle balls and especially loves her wand toy with bells on the end. Watching her play it's easy to forget she is blind as she effortlessly navigates her play area. She has perfect litter box skills and is quickly catching up to her siblings.
This kitten is one of those extra special babies - the ones our volunteers have hand raised in their homes. Kittens separated from their mom at a very young age and raised by humans are extra comfortable around people, extremely affectionate, and love attention. Since they didn't have the opportunity to be raised by a mama cat, they have zero street smarts and are especially naive about the dangers that exist. We are looking for a family who is committed to keeping them indoors only for life.
