(H2O) Fiji

Introducing a special little kitten named Fiji. This baby began struggling in his foster home, and the vet diagnosed him with severe kidney disease. We have been told that he may not live a very long life because his kidneys are functioning at just 30% of their normal capacity, but then again, cats are magic, and they like to surprise us. Fluids and antibiotics have made a big difference over the past month, and his lab values have improved significantly enough that he no longer requires daily subcutaneous fluids! His sisters were all spayed this week, and we are so optimistic about his future that Fiji was also neutered so that he, too, can find his forever humans. If you live near our headquarters in Calistoga, we're happy to send him home as a forever foster so that we can support him with his ongoing medical needs. If you live farther away, know how to give fluids or are willing to learn and have a wonderful veterinarian to help you keep an eye on him, Fiji could be adopted outright. Fiji is growing, playing and happy and that's what matters most!
